As I mention in my profile and several of my previous posts, I’m a former special education teacher for the Hawaii Department of Education and, later, worked as a parent advocate with Learning Disabilities Association of Hawaii ((LDAH — Now renamed Leadership in Disabilities & Achievement of Hawai’i). I have a great deal of experience working with students with autism and engaging with the autism community in general.
